The missionary position is similar to the deep stick position except in the deep stick position the giver is not laying on top of the receiver; the giver is mostly kneeling. It can sometimes be hard to distinguish between deep stick and missionary, so there are some characteristics one can look for to differentiate the two:

The missionary position is also similar to the folded deck chair position. In folded deck chair the receiver's legs push against the giver's arms.

The missionary position is similar to the launch pad position except in the launch pad position the receiver's feet are either together or resting on the giver's chest.

The missionary position is similar to the mirror of pleasure position except in the mirror of pleasure position both the receiver's legs are resting on one of the giver's shoulders.

Missionary position

A depiction of anal intercourse between two men in the missionary position. The missionary position or man-on-top position is generally a sex position in which a woman lies on her back and a man lies on top of her while they face each other and engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual activity. Though commonly associated with heterosexual sexual activity, the sex position is also used by gay and lesbian couples.
